How it works

The Signup Sheet turns "who's bringing what?" into a link. Here's the whole flow.

1. Create a sheet

Sign up for a free organizer account, then give your sheet a title and a few details — a description, an optional location, and an optional date. Add the slots people can claim. A slot can be a time ("Saturday 9–11am"), a task ("Set up chairs"), or an item ("Bring a dessert"). Give each slot a capacity if you only need a certain number of people, or leave it blank for unlimited.

2. Share your link

Every sheet gets its own private link. Share it by text, email, or group chat. Anyone with the link can view the sheet and sign up — no account required. The link is unlisted and isn't indexed by search engines, so only the people you send it to will find it.

3. People sign up

Participants pick an open slot, add their name and email, and optionally a short note or how many spots they're taking. When a capped slot fills, it stops accepting new sign-ups automatically. Because the count is checked the instant someone commits, a slot can never be over-filled even if two people submit at the same moment.

4. Confirmations and cancellations

Everyone who signs up gets an email confirmation with a personal cancel link. If plans change, one tap frees their spot for someone else. You can choose to be emailed whenever someone new signs up.

5. Manage and export

From your dashboard you can see who's signed up, remove a sign-up, close the sheet when you're done, or download the whole list as a CSV for check-in or your records.
